CTF

BreakICT CTF will be hosted during the two days of the conference on Friday October 18th, ending Saturday the 19th, and remain online thereafter for a period of time. You can participate and win prizes on Saturday October 19th.
SE CTF
The Social Engineering CTF is Back!!
The Social Engineering CTF will be an Interview Style CTF where you can compete to win one of our hand picked tech packages as a prize.
A social engineering job interview-style CTF (Capture the Flag) is an immersive cybersecurity challenge designed to test participants’ skills in manipulation and information gathering, simulating real-world social engineering attacks. In this scenario, participants take on the role of an attacker posing as a job candidate in an interview, with the objective of extracting sensitive information from the “interviewers.” The challenge involves using techniques like persuasive communication, impersonation, and psychological tactics to trick the interviewers into revealing confidential details about their organization, systems, or employees. It provides a unique opportunity for participants to demonstrate their ability to blend technical knowledge with human interaction in a controlled, competitive environment.
The goal of the CTF is not only to see how much information the participants can gather, but also to assess how they adapt under pressure and respond to unpredictable social cues. Throughout the exercise, interviewers, who act as company representatives, may throw curveballs or attempt to detect the deception, adding to the complexity of the task. This style of CTF not only sharpens participants' social engineering skills but also highlights the importance of organizational awareness and employee training in preventing these types of attacks in real-life situations.
